I recall when I was a kid, we would head out early and hit every house for blocks and when we were out, there were lots of other kids out and lots of people visiting on their porches and in their driveways. It was a great big neighborhood thing, but I guess people don't get to know their neighbors now and they don't trust their neighbors enough to take their kids trick or treating. It's so sad.
