I started The Tiger’s Wife — it’s good. Just finished Where the Mountain Meets the Moon (kids’ book — Grace Lin) and it was incredible. Did you recommend that, at one point? We read it for Oregon Battle of the Books — they always have good lists. Google ’em if you’re interested.
