I’ve been trying to cut back on watching General Hospital. It’s not going that well. I love GH, as you may know, but I do not have an affinity for any of the characters right now. NONE OF THEM. Except Original Carly, who is now “Claudia.”
Sonny and Carly #4? Always yelling at each other.
Jason? Not enough sex scenes.
Sam? Never liked Sam.
Emily? Dead. Maxie? Dead. Georgie? Spinelli? Robin? Dr. Drake Jr.? The “hott” nurses? All stupid. (Do I have Maxie/Georgie reversed again, BF? I never really have gotten to attached to them. Sorry.)
Anyway. I want to get a life and this means less TV. I do have a pretty big addiction going for The Wire right now, so any free time is devoted to that. (I just finished viewing the third season, so NO SPOILERS please.) And am re-watching the entire series run of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Also, Friday Night Lights. (I’m re-watching Season 2 cuz I missed half the episodes.)
Are you a TV fan? It lures me in, every time.

This is a common lament on GH boards. yes, I’m a member of a couple. I knew it was bad when my surly teenager wandered through during a “scrubs” (online nickname for Robin/Patrick)scen e and said “are they still fighting about the baby? haen’t they been fighting about this for months now?”
Maxie is still alive and is one of my favorite characters. I have loved every Carly. But Sarah Brown would not be appropriate for today’s Carly WM! Since they’re apparently going to be adding another mob family with Russian roots, I’n hoping that Helena makes her way back.
I enjoy watching Bruce Weitz chew up the scenery as overthetop Anthony Z.
Since my name is BlackFriend, I would really enjoy a storyline involving some *gasp* black characters.
I like Sam and Lucky though they barely show them since it’s all mob alla time. someone posited that it should be called General Mafia.
but I’m 27 years in, I wish I knew how to quit you, GH.

TOL, I am tivo’ing past the entire show. This is no good.
But I take it back, I am fond of Spinelli. Kate does not do much for me.
BF, what Epiphany, with her “sage black sassyness” doesn’t do it for you? Argh. I’m like, Oh, you’ve been watching Grey’s Anatomy, that’s precious. I liked Justus. And the bad cop, Taggert. It wasn’t enough, but it was SOMETHING. (Also, I’m up five years on you — 32 years a fan now.)
Dammit, I’m going to go all hardcore fan and write the producers an e-mail.
