Day One — Is There Life Without TV?
Yes, of course. It’s weird, though. I didn’t realize how much we watch TV until it wasn’t an option! The kids haven’t asked for it and don’t seem to care.
The kids are playing with trains and dollies and just hanging out. I taped “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Desperate Housewives” last night but have resisted the urge to watch them.
Do yoga videos count? I’m being hardcore and saying yes. No tube this week, period. We checked out a bunch of books from the library and have been writing in journals, too. WB and I went grocery shopping, WG had school. Good day, in spite of the rain! Well, it is April in the Pacific Northwest.

No TV is GOOD TV……!
Read a book, plant some flowers, call a friend, visit a shut-in, volunteer, use your imagination!

Ok, so we’re doing this too, and I keep looking for loopholes. We established before the week started that no tv includes no tapes/dvds, because you watch them on a tv. But, what if I watch a dvd on the computer, well that doesn’t involve the tv at all…lol. So far I have resisted temptation. But the house seems too quiet, and I have no awareness of time passing. Weird. I don’t miss the shows much at all, truthfully.
