IT SNOWED HERE! Real snow, not this little “half-inch of powder and Portland shuts down” kinda snow.

Real snow.

A whole foot of it.

Oh, wait. Now it’s raining.

We’re screwed.

So far I have baked the following: Russian Tea Cakes, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Crinkles, Rainbow Cookies.

And so far, we have not run out of vodka… wooooooooooooooooooo!

It’s a wonderful life.

ps I had mimosas at Pause for lunch can you tell? Wacky Girl and her darling friend-from-across-the-street had Chocolate Decadence. We had fun walking there and back, wooooooooooot! Santa will be here in four little days.

Hope you guys are staying warm (and that you keeping your power on). My sister in Gresham is up to her ass in snow.

Raining? How could that be? It’s only 23 degrees over here, only, what, a mile from you? And it’s not raining. Anyway. Things I’ve baked/cooked in the last few days:
    brownies
    chocolate snaps
    oatmeal cookies
    chocolate pudding
and, currently rising is homemade buttermilk bread!
and last night Paul made the most amazing vegetarian French onion soup. Yum! We’re definitely eating well even though I, for one, am not going anywhere and doing anything to burn off those calories, except for baking up a storm. :-)

What is this Pause? And is it within walking distance?

TOL, we’re only up to our thighs over here in North Portland. So far. How’s Texas?

Elizabeth, it rained while we were walking home from Pause, then stopped awhile after we got home. I have never been so glad to see rain turn to snow. Freezing rain freaks me out. Happy baking to you!!!
