We are birders, too-it is VERY fun.
We have a water feature that is a fish (she’s called Wanda) spewing water into a small pool. Chris recently added a pottery bowl for Wanda to spit into. That way, it gives us an additional sound–both the water going into the bowl and then the water overflowing the bowl and splashing into the pool.
ANYHOO the birds LOVE the water in the bowl! They stop over (as do the squirrels) for a drink and sometimes a bath {the birds not the squirrels:)}.
