Thursday Thirteen Ed. #131: 13 Reasons I Don’t Have to Write a Thursday Thirteen
THIRTEENERS!!!! I just wanted to say “hey.” Hey. How you doin’? USUAL SUSPECTS!!!! Hello, and noooooooo you are not forgotten. I am, however, forgetting about this week’s Thursday Thirteen because… why shouldn’t I?
13. Ash in Wonderland (and her boobs) wrote a freakin’ great post for me and I am still enjoying it. And her boobs. Plus, it immediately started a fight! Excellent work, Ash-girl. I kinda enjoy blog-fighting. Except the subject was serious, so I shouldn’t be being flip. They both care, that’s why it got hot for a minute. Ash, thanks for everything. Mia, thank you to you and your co-workers for the extremely hard and thankless work you do. Peace and I’m lighting candles for the kids, right now.
12. Zip wrote an equally excellent post for me — I’m running it tomorrow or Friday.
11. At this rate, I may never post again.
10. I hadn’t really considered farming out the blog. Oh, wait. Just every day of my life. You think this is easy? I just make it look easy.
9. It’s raining. Again.
8. I mean it — it’s raining really super hard. Also it’s dark. Who can concentrate in weather like this? Writing takes concentration.
7. I mean, unless you’re just messing around, like I am right now. Then it is, like, effortless. I can adopt a new strategy: Write like Steve Martin.
6. My kids? Remember them? Yeah, me neither. Since I’ve been working FULL-TIME the children have not been getting the care and attention they crave and deserve.
5. Then I remembered — my kids have been neglected since birth. They’re used to it. (Kidding.) (Ha! Ha!)
4. They’re self-sufficient, my children. They can deal for a few more minutes while I finish this up.
3. I’m sleepy.
2. We had a party planned for this weekend — like the one we did last year — now everyone wants to bag out. Because, you know. It’s raining. Hard. And we’re all sleepy. Hmmm. Not everyone wants to cancel — three people, I think. Maybe one more or one less, I am tired, did I mention? I need to throw some brain cells into this. Do they really want to bag out, or do they think that everyone else wants to bag out? I cannot do that thing, where you try to guess what everyone wants, and groove that way? Or this way? Mainly I am just thinking, either way is fine.
1. If I don’t do a Thursday Thirteen, then I’ll have time to go stop by other people’s blogs! Right after I take a nap.
Raining…..raining….it’s either that or sleet or snow here. We are all turning into sleepy mushrooms. Now i am off to check Ash’s blog, I am curious.
