“I have learned through bitter experience the one supreme lesson to conserve my anger, and as heat conserved is transmitted into energy, even so our anger controlled can be transmitted into a power that can move the world.”
–Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)
Wacky Mommy sends love and support from Portland, Ore., to Crawford, Texas, where Wacky Mommy Cindy Sheehan is camped out with her crew, hoping to meet with George W. Bush and say what a lot of wacky mommies and daddies around the world are saying, “End the war in Iraq right now.”
Her son, Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq in April, right before his 25th birthday. She started Gold Star Families for Peace in response.
Find out more at Meet with Cindy and Casey’s Peace Page.
Peace and love now, not later.

Last night my Wacky Friend A and I went to the zoo to see Ozotmatli (sp?), crazy Red Hot Chili Peppers sounding band from L.A. — kinda Tower of Power, with the horns and all, and Los Lonely Boys, to whom i pledge my undying adoration.
V. good show, nice warm night, under the moon and the stars. Huge crowd. Best show i’ve ever seen at the zoo, and A agrees.

Well. Job interview went superfine, but no offer… yet…

Here’s a nice one for hot days — Asian Noodle Salad. In the winter I serve it with black bean soup and cornbread. In the summer, a loaf of bread will do.
Enjoy!

“Marriage: a book of which the first chapter is written in poetry and the remaining chapters written in prose.”
— Beverly Nichols, author
okay, Wacky Mommy is in full, complete TOTAL FREAK-OUT MODE NOW! WTF? Oh. My. God…. Can’t write, can’t concentrate, can’t even manage to vacuum my g.d. office, much less work on the much-needed second draft of The Novel, because…
You heard of “elimination communication?” It’s raising babies without diapers, aka “nappies” in the U.K.
Wacky Mommy is in favor of diapering. Bring on the Huggies…
Sweet jeebus, help us all. Not all progress is bad. More later…
